Cans and Bottles

  Washed out cans and pop bottles  all recycle. All laundry plastic containers recycle. I just keep a tall thin container beside the washer and dryer to put the empty ones into.

  All plastic pop and drink containers must be checked on the bottom.

  There must be a #1 or #2 in the little triangle on the bottom or the bottom sides of the bottles. These go into the other black cart on wheels.

   Now our area recycle stations take regular cardboard too. This really helps.

  When either of these containers get full, I wheel them both to the car, and take them to the local recycle center.

  These are listed in your yellow pages. I live in an appartment and do not have much room . Keep it neat or you will hate it.

  Just think what you are doing for the next generation!  Your only expense is the containers.

  Most cities are now into recycling. I live outside the city so I am on my own.

Going Green 
  This small  yahoo website has lots of great ideas. They recently did lightbulbs with mercury among other things. They also have a list of non-recycle items and how to dispose of them safely.

What To Do With Electronics

The consummer should be the first one in the recycling line with old T.V.'s,computers,vcr's and etc. Do not throw it in the trash. Take it to a recycling center or to a recycling day event. Find the days at www.epastate.oh.us/dsiwm/pages/recycpro.html    or www.recyclingcenters.org/index.php

We keep a plastic bag by each door to put things that recycle in.
I like to take the smaller grandchildren with me when I go to the recycle bins.
 I always tell them I need their help. It is good traing for them.
 I cannot believe how many cities have already begain to recycle just since I put this website up in 2008! Just shows you we will soon be filling up recycle bins instead of all the smelly dumps.
 I also tell the kids when we go there "did you notice the recycle bins do not smell? "  Kids are always ready to learn by example. Grandma's have lots of time when they are retired and can take them places with us.
